WAVE - an introduction to waveshaping and wave-terrain synthesis. Download GREENWOOD STUTTER DEVICE as part of Michael Terren’s suite of Max for Live Devices. Only then does the number box receive, display, and send out the number 0.75. When the user clicks on the button, the float object sends out its stored value. Thus, my first Max patch was born-a recreation of what I called the Greenwood stutter. In the Max example on the left, the number box doesnt know about the number 0.75 stored in the float object. As an iPhone/iTouch app, the Mini Mood triggers looped samples and the user mixes the volume of each element. Mel Gray over at Clever Collie took over the coding for the iPhone/iTouch. In March, I put together a patch in Max/MSP to serve as a prototype.FebruFebruguest Software Synthesizers & Samplers granular synthesis, granular synthesizer, Max/MSP, software synthesizers Related. This patch uses the MIDI key number (pitch) data byte to set the frequency of a sawtooth oscillator, and it uses the velocity data byte to set the amplitude of the oscillator. This new interface offers tactile and interactive control over trajectory parameters, and will facilitate both sound design and real-time performance. In this paper, we describe a flexible interface for working with wave terrain synthesis, implemented in the Max/MSP environment in combination with Wacom Intuos2 graphics tablet and pen.As usual, you can recreate the patch yourself, or you can download it by subscribing to the Virtual Continue reading → Posted in Blog, Easy Pieces, Max MSP Leave a comment.
